National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
The National Junior Honor Society is the middle school level of the National Honor Society. This group is the premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. This is more than just an honor roll: NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character, and Citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership since the beginning of the organization in 1929.

Eligibility
To be eligible for membership at the Heard County Middle School chapter of NJHS, a student must meet five specific standards.

• Service- Students should show some evidence or interest in doing community service.
• Character, Leadership, and Citizenship- Good recommendations from your teachers and other evidence.
