Ms. Marti Robinson, Principal

Ms. Marti Robinson is the Principal of Heard County Middle School. She was born in Georgia, but has been blessed to have lived in many other states as well. Education has always been an important part of her life, and working with young people brings joy to her on a daily basis. Her numerous years of experience include teaching third, fifth, and sixth grades, three years experience as a middle school assistant principal, and she is now entering her seventh year as principal at HCMS.  Ms. Robinson has two children, Amanda & Nathan. Amanda is a teacher at Heard Co. Elementary School and Nathan is a student at the University of West Georgia. Ms. Marti Robinson enjoys the beach and the mountains as favorite get-away places. In her spare time she loves to read and take long walks.

Mr. Lance Wilson, Assistant Principal

Mr. Lance Wilson was born in Carrollton and has lived in Roopville since he was in Middle School.  Mr. Wilson came from a very large family and has many fond memories. As a child, his four brothers, three sisters, and parents lived in a small one bathroom house. Mr. Wilson is married to Misty Traylor Wilson and they have a beautiful daughter.  Mr. Wilson is a born again Christian and has remained active in his home church of Mt. Pleasant, a Baptist Church in the Clem community (southeast of Carrollton).  He graduated from Central High School in 1990 and received a B.S. degree in Education from West Georgia in 1998.  While in college, he coached football and golf at Villa Rica High School.  Also, he took a job teaching Health and PE at Buchanan Primary School in Haralson County when he graduated from West Georgia.  Mr. Wilson coached baseball for seven years and softball for five years in Haralson County.  In addition to Health and PE at the primary level, he also taught other subjects and has experiences with all ages in schools across the county.  In 2002, Mr. Wilson received a M.S. degree from Jacksonville State University and  completed the Ed. Specialist program at Lincoln University in 2009.
